It’s a beautiful day to meet one of the neighbors at Moravian Manor Communities!
Beth, one of MMC’s resident artists, first got serious about composing art in 2012. Attending classes at the York Art Association, she credits her excellent teachers for helping her learn and look at things in a different light…expanding her approach and technique.
Her true love is painting, and she has a natural affinity for working with pastels. When she’s painting, “Time passes pleasantly. My thoughts travel new paths, and when I’m done, I feel satisfied, if not with the product, then with the process. When someone sincerely likes the art piece, then I know the painting connected with them personally.”
Several years ago, Beth decided to be “the cat painter,” but “a dog or two has slipped in,” she teases. Zoe, her and her husband’s cat, serves for inspiration.
Today, Beth’s art has been exhibited in galleries, businesses, churches, wineries, boutiques, and other venues across Pennsylvania, as well as in Maryland. People describe her work as “engaging, energetic, and fresh.” She’s also won awards and has been granted entry in several juried exhibits.
